Anyone who has an iPad knows that since iOS 7, the floating and split keyboard has been an infuriating broken mess, with laggy and stuttery performance, and all sorts of issues with scrolling content. For example, in Messages the keyboard will obscure new messages and not let you scroll content past the top of the keyboard.

For those using iOS 9, have any of these issues been addressed?

Split keyboard is very buggy right now, moreso than usual. It seems to conflict with the new trackpad functionality or something. iPad 4, iOS 9 PB1 here.

definitely see laggy and stutter performance all over the OS in this beta, I've written a large bunch of reports in Feedback Assistant about the keyboard performance.

Yep it feels like it'll be more of the same. I remember seeing iOS 7 performance issues in the beta but assuming they'd be fixed by release. They weren't. It seems the iOS release cycle is now as follows:

Crappy beta X -> Semi-crappy release X -> Mostly fixed release X just in time for crappy beta X+1 -> Semi-crappy release X+1 -> ...etc.

Even regular folks not running betas have to deal with a buggy, laggy OS for most of the year.
