I suspect that the battery in my 2021 M1 Pro is swollen based on this thread.

If I buy a new battery from Apple, will the same thing happen again, or has this been design-corrected?

Also, how does one go about determining the part number of the battery?

Thanks for any replies.

Sorry to hear that your battery is swollen. You should definitely replace it because it's dangerous. Don't worry about the part number. Apple will know how to replace it.

Thanks for the advice.

I plan on doing the work myself, so I'll need to figure out the part number.

Also, has Apple corrected the design issue in the battery? Or will the same thing likely happen again?

Thanks.
