I'm looking to potentially upgrade this myself at a later date but concerned by the stock status. Has this ever been in stock? I spoke to Apple and they are unable to give a date for future stock.

None of the MPX GPU modules have been in stock, as far as I can remember.

I think they’re still trying to satisfy the initial demand.. let’s wait another month.

Maybe they need to get rid of their inventory of overpriced Dxxx series GPUs for the MP6'1's first , to reclaim precious shelf space at the Online Apple Store Fulfillment Center ?

They've been in the store for quite some time. You just can't order them.

That is such a classy and clever thing for Apple to do .

It's like a Lamborghini dealership placing a life size cardboard mock up in their front lot to draw people in , as they drive past on the highway . With a little sign on the fake driver's side window saying , "Gotcha !" in small print .

You could try inquiring with a 3rd party supplier.

they don't have any either
