Has the wifi issue been corrected on 3gs?

Anyone gotten a 3gs replacement that has corrected flaky wifi signal or is it still 3.0 that's acting weird? Thanks!

I've heard about a month and a half ago replacement phones did the same thing, not sure if it's still the case. Never had mine replaced yet.
 
Seriously what wifi issue? I've had my 3GS since July 8th and haven't had any issues. If there was a problem with the wifi antenna or software Apple would have had some kind of recall or press release I guess.
 
I'm not sure what wifi issue is being discussed here but I've had times where my 3GS will not connect to a wifi network that is has connected to in the past (like my own home wifi network). I either have to toggle wifi off and on, or I need to go in and manually connect and type in my password.

What you're describing is a software issue that some people had. A restore usually fixes that. What the OP is worried about is a hardware issue that some people had.

Over on the apple support discussion boards there are several issue alive and well regarding the 3gs wifi.
 
If its the problem where you're connected to a wifi connection but it seems you're not even connected to the internet (nothing happens when you refresh your email or go on safari) and you have to turn off wifi and turn it back on again.

Then I still have it.
 
So it's not normal to have wifi signal flicker from 2 to 3 bars in the room, feet away from the wireless router?
 
I got my 3Gs a week ago and gave my old 3G to my husband. At first my 3gs would not connect to our ifi at all!
Then the next time I connected to iTunes it said there was an update. I updated and now it connected to wifi however, the connection drops down significantly, and sometimes totally. I have to turn on airplane mode and then turn it back off again to re-establish the connection. I know it's the 3Gs because the 3G has no problem staying well connected.
Hoping Apple knows about this and are working on a fix.:(

People aren't gonna come on here just to say "Hey, my wifi works great!". They're gonna come on here to complain about each and everything little thing that's wrong with their phone.

P.S. Mine is fine and has always been fine. I've had my 3GS since the day it came out (running 3.0.1).
 
You guys think I should get my phone replaced or wait for a more legitimate issue than flickering bar strength?
 
I had my launch day 3GS replaced for horrible battery life. The replacement has better battery and none of the wifi issues I was having.

I think maybe I will start periodically starting threads about the problems I don't have with my iPhone. With titles like "Anyone else not having problems with build quality?" and "I'm happy with my 3G speeds. Is this normal?"

Lol you should. Maybe it will lighten the mood with all the MMS and problematic threads around.
