Has your iPad 3G shipped yet?

I pre-ordered mine around late march and got an email from apple stating I will receive the iPad by late April (30th to be exact) as communicated when I pre-ordered.

Well it's the 24th and just wondering if anyone noticed a shipment yet. Mines not yet shipped nor apple took money out my bank except for doing the bank check.

There are other threads like this, but you posted this wanting answers, so I'll give you an answer. My credit card has been charged for the iPad 3G. It has yet to ship though. I don't think we'll see any shipping statuses until Tuesday or Wednesday to meet the April 30th delivery.
 
Pre-ordered my 64 on march 13. Since then, they temp charged my card a couple of times. The first time was right before they shipped out the wifi models - apparently charging the 3g customers was in error. Then they ran the temp charge again a few days ago and it too has fallen off.

As of today, my order still reads Not yet shipped and I still have the ability to "cancel" so it hasn't entered into the prepared for shipment. It likely will do that by the end of weekend/monday.

At this point I'm fairly sure we will not see this things until April 30th as indicated per keynote announcement.

Ditto. Additionally, the accessories I ordered with mine have shipped and arrived.fwiw
 
Preordered mine 5 minutes after it was available for preorder. My card has been charged :) Can't wait for Friday!
 
I expect your shipping status will change to prepared for shipping around 3:00 - 4:00 this afternoon, that's when they began to change the Saturday before the wifi models were delivered.
 
I stand corrected. Mrs. EDJ advises that Apple has twice begun processing the transaction for the full 3G price. Each time, the transaction with Wells Fargo shows online that the transaction is (P) Pending. Each time, the line item has been removed and the account balance reflects that the amount was NOT removed from the account. Last time this happened was this morning.

Currently, WF does not show the transaction as pending any longer.

FWIW.
 
I have been charged for my iPad, but it hasn't shipped. I ordered on the 12th of March. We will likely see all of these pre-orders shipping by Wednesday, depending on what type of shipping Apple will use.

Interesting, I was wondering about that. Of course ours are scheduled to arrive a day earlier than the WiFi models. But I guess that those models were held in the warehouses for at least 24 hours prior to delivery.

Well, I'm definitely not going to refuse the package were it to arrive on April 29th :D

But, likely Apple has instructed the FedEX/UPS to hold until the 30th.

All we know is what was stated, not what will actually happen :cool:
 
Well, my 3G hasn't shipped yet (still says "Late April" and pending charges have dropped off). But my case, which wasn't expected to ship until May 4, now says "Prepared for Shipment." :p

When did you order the case?

I have to get mine replaced (it doesn't fit right) and both Apple and people here have confirmed that the ship date it in the beginning of May (the 7th or something).

I have a skin on my WiFi iPad and I am expecting my 3G (well, when it comes on the 30th), but if I replace my case I want to try to have it by the time my 3G comes, so that way I can cover it...

Okay, so it took about a week.... *sigh*. I guess I will have to hunt at my local BestBuy. My Apple Store (which is about 30 minutes away on a good day) said they have a "few", haha.

So we will see... I just dont want to get stuck down the road with a non-fitting case and an iPad that is unprotected. And I also don't really like any of the Apple options for cases, lest I choose one and then return that one after I get my 3G and trade for the Apple Case again :) (That would only work, however, if they are shipping in a shorter window at that point...)

Oh well. Still looking forward to my 3G though :)
 
I just preordered my 64GB today. Apple changed the shipping time from "late April" to "May 7th." I'm not sure if that means my pre-order is not going out with the first shipments or if all units are not shipping until the 7th.

It means yours is not. It has been previously discussed (I believe Apple made an announcment, iirc), that later orders would be delivered later. This is not supposed to impact the original orderers (March 12).
 
my 3G charge is still pending, but, interestingly enough, my applecare has already been charged and moved from "Not shipped yet" to "Completed". this happened last thursday, as i recall. . . . .
