iPad Pro Has your iPad Pro (Face ID model) bent?

I was looking through the bent thread before and noticed a lot of people having issues. I’m looking to pick up an 11” model on Black Friday but the bending issue is worrying me.

I thought that the easiest way to see how many people have had issues would be is to have a poll.

No issues with mine, though I typically use it with the Smart Keyboard, so that might have helped some.

I waited literally a whole damn year because I was so concerned about the bending issue everybody was freaking out about last year. Finally I just said F it and got one because I wanted it. Haven’t had a single issue. WHY DID I THINK IT WAS SMART TO PUT TO LET THE INTERNET TELL ME NOT TO BUY SOMETHING

4G or no 4G? I think the 4G model is more vulnerable due to the extra antenna line. The poll will not give a reliable result if you don’t specify 4G or size!

My advice; buy one and get Apple Care. My 11” (no 4G) was fine.

mine has been bent, i dont know how.. i dont put it in a backpack, been super careful.

anyway i "bent" it back, heard a crack, but nothing seems out of place, still works and looks good.

Before the bend, i was super gentle with it. After the bend, fk it who cares, i chuck it in my briefcase and stuff it full of other work crap like measuring tapes, lasers, rulers etc. , i just dont care anymore.

even had my Apple Pencil scratch the side of my iPad due to some miniscule metal thing sticking out from the Pencil.

Before the bend, I tried to cover it with a paint pen. After the bend, fk it YOLOOOOOOOO

2019 internet in a nutshell.
Mine does not spot any bent yet, even though I often chuck it into my backpack with other bulkier stuff. No major issue so far, although there is a crack top middle and screen cable seems to be flexing a bit.

I'm pretty sure most of the 'bending' cases weren't bending from use (abuse?) but ones that were bent straight out the factory. At that I've not really heard of too many cases recently, so it sounds like it's been sorted.

Mine came just the slightest bit bent out of the box but not enough to make me care about it. The ones I've eyed at the local Apple Store were similar.

have to admit reading the stories in that thread serious put me off a 12.9 gen 3
its took that long to decide its now pointless with the gen 4 due soon next year

My first 12.9” cellular arrived with quite a bow in it, straight out of the box. That was early December last year. I had my husband return it via post since I was in hospital. I waited for the refund back to my credit card before ordering again. So my second 12.9” cellular arrived around 2 weeks later without a bend. I carry it in my handbag with the Apple Smart Cover, a glass screen protector on the front and a clear skin on the back and sides. It goes in the main section of my bag with my purse, pens, etc, and I haven’t had any issues with bending at all. It’s actually quite solid. I’m sure that my first one had been warped during the build process as there had been no damage to the box in transit. I wouldn’t be concerned about bending as I haven’t heard of the issue for a while. Don’t sit on your iPad though, obviously.
