Wow... My IQ dropped a few points after reading that article. The drivel about too much animation was the closest thing to a diamond in a dunghill. I much prefer the Mac's bouncing icon to Window's pop up message that DEMANDS your immediate attention. Or worst yet, being forcibly switched to the offending application. If I had a nickle for every time a background program jump to the foreground and screwed up my workflow...:mad:

Maybe I can lobby the Boss to allow me to use a Mac as my work machine.

I love the one and only response: "Hey, I RUN Microsoft, and even I think you’re a troll."

Yeah, and the commenter is SteveB. "B" as in Balmer?:D

Wow. That guy just wasted a good hour of his life typing that. What an overreaction.

Hmmmm... are we sure he wasn't calling himself ugly here? I bet a Mac holds more beauty than this man.

if you're going to hate on the Mac, at least have some ammo... though it is very hard to find any!

Thing is, even when someone actually bring up valid points, fans will defend Apple to death regardless. Goes for anything else than Apple as well. Stupidness knows no limits.

Guess I'll address his points one at a time:

1: His assertion of Apple sucks. Reading it, it appears to be a disjointed rant about various Mac products, and a lot of statements needing citations. Especially how iPods fail in three hours. If an iPod dies in this time frame, that is what warranties are for. These unsubstantiated things really don't help his case.

2: Too much animation: This is opinion, but the Mac UI is well researched and well thought out. To each his own.

3: The Mac's last resort is always the PC: I'd say this argument makes little sense. Actually it makes near none. If the guy asserted that there was the Mac versus PC ads, that might be something here.

4: The Mac is ugly: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but if one looks at TV shows, there are a lot of Macs used as props, with and without the telltale logo covered. Opinion assertion, so really can't take this one down.

5: The Mac doesn't function properly: This is just wrong. It works as designed, and if it doesn't, Apple has one of the best support departments out there. I have yet to have OS X kernel panic on me. If he was talking about OS 9 and before, maybe he would have a point, but barring bad hardware or a corrupted driver, kernel panics in OS X are pretty rare.
