As of Yosemite PB 5, I seemed to have my boot times more than doubled from around 12-15 to 29-31 seconds.

I have the iTunes helper as a log-in item but that's it.

Try looking in System Prefs in the Startup Disk pane and make sure the Yosemite partition is selected as the boot volume. If it is not, the OS wastes time looking around for all available boot sources and this slows things down.

On an SSD Mini, my cold boot is around 17:05 & Restart is 21:50.
Both slightly longer

Restart with key command hangs with Mail open, so a bug. Restart from the top mouse menu will hang, but quit Mail after a few seconds. Go figure
Likely other apps will effect it as well. No big deal, it's beta. Wouldn't be a big shock is it takes 2 point updates after the final. Been there ;)

Several things are actually faster than Mavs, so there is hope for a performance boost.

I wish! I have and still have choppy scrolling on my laptop even had it with Mavericks, I *think* Yosemite slightly improved it.

They're betas. You can't really measure things like startup time. They're gonna fluctuate. Best thing in that case is to stomach it. I know this line gets old but you chose to live with any potential issues when you chose to become a beta tester. You can send Feedback to Apple if you wish but my guess would be they haven't finished optimising things like that and just to wait it out.

(disappeared for a couple of hours whilst writing this so there may have been more posts since that I haven't even seen.)

Oh believe me, I'm not complaining at all. I've sent Apple the bug report and been a good little beta tester, I just wondered if it was just me with slow boot up times though. Just curiosity.

Agree - I don't experience any slow scrolling like the OP, but see other things that are obviously a different experience for someone with a different Graphics chip, etc, etc. Still, not bad at this stage. Easy to adjust for the few quirks for now.

Everything I need to work does, so I will likely stick with this as day to day driver.

As stated before, I'm NOT complaining.

I've been running Yosemite on this since PB1 so again, I'm not complaining.

Relax mate. No one actually accused you of complain. My initial response was just things like lengthy boot times are to be expected of a beta. We weren't accusing you of whining. After all, these boards are here for discussing things :)

Not noticed boot times myself but that would be because I never shut down my Mac and only restart for updates etc. As for the scroll lag I've never seen that so maybe it's specific to your model or something.

Sorry, I just see a lot of posts made here which seem to ask a genuine question then the person gets attacked by being told "It's a beta" and I felt you were implying I was complaining.

Sorry about that.
