Have had to go back to 3.0 firmware to unlock my 2g iPhone

I had upgraded it to the 3.1.2 firmware but after having tried several times to unlock on 3.1.2 I gave up!

If there is anyone out there who does happen to know a simple way to do it, please let me know, with step by step instructions!

Did you ever go to iClarified or Hackintosh and get a step by step tutorial ?

Just get one for a 2G phone for whatever OS you have and 3.1.2 firmware, then follow the steps.
