I have just taken receipt of my helicopter license, so I am pretty mobile.

Is there anywhere in the UK which sells the MacBook Air?

Apparently you can't get through the door of an Apple Store in somewhere called America because of the piles of unwanted stock, but in Blighty its a different story.

Its a beautiful day, the sun is shining and the blades are ready to whirl.

Let me know if you spot one.

a better place
If you can afford the helicopter / fuel, and have the freedom to go anywhere - then I'm sure you can just hop on a plane to USA, pick one up, have a night on the town, and come back the next day..... (and take me with you ;) )

Are you sure you that your were not simply looking for an excuse to 'boast' and impress us all :p

(it worked :) ) damn why can't I meet a guy with a copter.... i'd be lucky if I found a guy who can commit let alone a helicopter

How about ordering one from the online shop, have it sent to some far out place (e.g. some close relative who lives in another part of England?) and just go pick it up there?
On the other hand, you'd have to wait a few days :(
Right, I don't know then, I'm not exactly from England.

Ps. If you find a shop, just make a low altitude approach right over the rooftops and land on the shop roof. Now THAT would be an eye-opener. Uh, and make sure the news people are there, I'd like to see it on TV ;)

Anyways, I wish you the best of luck on your mission - and don't forget to bring me one :apple:

Forget the 'copter...Anyone know how to get on one of those Richard Branson 'Trip to Space' flying mission/holidays? Might be easier than securing a Mac Book Air.

I posted here yesterday after someone excitedly mentioned that Regent Street has 11 in stock.

Eleven?

Think about.

Eleven!

The world's coolest brand could get the grand total of 11 to London, to its flagship store. Either this is because of pre-order demand on a scale not yet known - or Apple screwed up.

They had 20 yesterday and 4 today. The 20 sold in less than 30 minutes. You can guess how long the 4 lasted today. If I wanted a MBA (already have mine in hand), I'd show up at Regent Street at 10am on Monday.
