I wanted to put my old 1st gen iPhone on eBay, so selected erase all data. It was taking HOURS! So I did a hard reset and now it won't do anything.

If I try and turn it on, the apple logo appears for about 10secs then it goes off again.

What can I do?!

Try putting it into DFU mode and restoring it.

If you don't know how to get into DFU mode, download PwnageTool 3.0 and it'll help you enter DFU mode.

My impatient self did this on Friday, too. Just turn it on and wait about an hour or so - or until it reboots itself again. Then put it in DFU mode and hook it up to iTunes for a redsnow restore.

Have you tried hooking it up to a non-iphone satellite?
