I have "installed" it as i am using it but is it normal for a dialogue box to appear suggesting that i drag the application to a location to install it?

I also have a small disk image on my desktop which appears when Mozilla is in use.

All i do is click the blue M and close the box but is it normal as i don't think so, other programs i have installed seem okay and i don't think i have done anything wrong.

Anybody got a simple guide online or a quick explanation on this installation process just so i have something to go by? I'm a lone mac user in the UK with nobody physically around me to help.

Ok, I'm guessing when you downloaded Mozilla it was a .dmg file, this is a Disk Image. When you dbl click it it mounts the image as a drive on your desktop. To install Mozilla open up this mounted drive and drag the Mozilla app from there into your Applications folder. You can then eject the disk, trash the dmg file and launch Mozilla when ever you want from your Applications folder.

edit: BTW, please post requests for help in the correct forum: Mac Help/Questions and Tips ;)
