Hi,

I have had an old 2g iphone for a while, not doing much since I have the 3GS and thought I should hack it so that I can sell it easier. I have just finished using the pwagned tool to hack it (3.1) and it seems to have worked (I now have OS3.1 and the ICY and Sydia Icons.) The only problem is when I put my SIM card from my iPhone 3GS into it, it didnt work (no signal)? Is this because its a 3G sim??

Did I do something wrong?

Any help would be great.

cheers

Good job, although it's jailbroken, not hacked and Cydia, not Sydia.

If you are using an 2G, I believe it requires yellowsnow or redsn0w to permantely unlock those. You would of had to do that before going to 3.1

And if you built the IPSW without unchecking the activate phone, it won't work with AT&T sim. Build a new IPSW with that unchecked if you wish to use an AT&T sim.

Could be either of those.

It sounds like you didn't unlock the phone; you only jailbroke it. Make sure you set Pwnage to unlock the phone by running bootneuter.
