Have the day off and want to jailbreak my 3G... help

I am not very technical and really need a "jailbreaking for dummies" kind of walkthrough. I have a 16gb 3G iphone and am using windows.

I have downloaded the QuickPwn 21-1 zp but can not open it ??? It will ask which program I want to open it with and gives the best one to go with but doesn't seem to work.

I have the latest 2.1 and itunes downloads but after searchng the threads here and watching countless YouTube videos I am still lost :confused:

Can someone please help me jailbreak my phone ????

First of all, you need to download WinRAR to open the .zip file and then extract QuickPwn.
After you have done so, just follow this guide from iClarified.http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1881
Since, you have already updated to 2.1 and the new iTunes 8 you can just run QuickPwn and follow the instructions.

Going to give it a try now and will be back with update and/or more questons lol, if I can do this anyone can.
 
Ok I have completed steps 1 and 2 should I close itunes ?
Should I restore from my ack up before or after jailbreaking ?
it also has the opton to set up as a new phone ?
 
Set up as new and just resync everything. In my opinion it is the best option after jailbreaking / upgrading to a new firmware.

ok 2 more questions lol wil I be able to get all my calander/contact/sms back on it and my applications ?
 
no,you don't need 2.1 again,i believe you're actually running a hacked firmware based on 2.1,that's why your phone is jailbroken,you can get your calendar,contacts if you have em in your pc,syncing it,just like for the songs,and photos,but in order to have your sms back you would need to restore from backup,pretty much,and that would cancel your jailbreaking process
Edit,you'll get your applications simply syncing your phone
PS may I ask what made you jailbreak your phone?
 
I jailbroke so that I could change the themes and have a video recorder.

camera functions are very important to me and although I love the iphone I was dissapointed it did not have a video recorder
