iPhone Have to swipe up twice to get to home screen

Hi

I'm having issues in some apps, from what I can see it's apps in landscape, where I have to swipe up twice in order to get to the home screen and it is really bugging me.

It's like the app steals the focus of the bar at the bottom, possibly to prevent unwanted swipes but to be honest i'd rather have to deal with the occasional unwanted swipes than having to consistently swipe twice to get to the home screen.

So is there a way to disable that?

This happens mostly in games and maybe drawing apps.
