Have windows ignore notch

Does anyone know of a way/app that lets you ignore the notch? By ignore, I mean that you can pull the windows to the top of the screen and they stay there, instead of popping back down as is default. I realise of course why Apple does that, to avoid the notch obscuring the window, but for my workflow I don't think its an issue, and i'd prefer to utilise the extra space.

Thanks for that, good comprehensive article but it covers everything except what I’m after. Not looking too hopeful.
