Hi, sometimes when I intended to scroll (for example in Instagram), the phone registered as click to Like. I was scrolling through Costco website, it asked if I wanted to accept Cookies. I intended to choose No but when I scrolled down, it registered as Yes.

Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

For important tasks, do you prefer to use a computer with a larger screen than iPhone? Even I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I still prefer to use a regular computer to do critical tasks such as financial transactions.

I would be more likely to make mistakes on a larger iPhone that doesn’t comfortably fit in the hand. I only ever really make keyboard mistakes on my iPhone SE. but I absolutely prefer working on a Mac. A phone is got relatively brief interactions

My old iPhone 6 Plus on earlier versions of iOS never made ghost touches or unintended taps.
My newer phones do though.

The fastest and most accurate typing I’ve ever done on an iPhone was with the iPhone 5. The screen is a lot smaller so the letters on the keyboard are much closer together- so single finger typing I way faster & more accurate. On big phones the distance between letters is farther which increases targeting errors.

I could fly on an iPhone 5. I always make mistakes on my big phone

Oh, crap. I tried to vote "no" in the poll, but it registered as "yes".

Okay, not really, but I have an odd sense of humor, especially on a Friday afternoon minutes before leaving work. 🤣

This is a bit of an odd question. There's probably no one who uses an iPhone (or any device) on a daily basis who has NEVER tapped or swiped something by accident. I mean, does this include a typo when typing a message? Don't tell me that there's anyone who can say they've never hit a wrong key.

Yes of course, who hasn't?

I find most of the time when this has happened to me it is not due to the iPhone's UI, but an ad or other function button from IG or Twitter or on a web page, for example with a tiny "x" that has been designed to get me to actually engage with an ad rather than close it, or something similar. It's intentional design from the app designers and has nothing to do with the iPhone's UI, which is clear and functional as compared to most of the apps themselves.

Not consistently, no. Typing errors? Of course, who hasn’t? But I make those on iPads, too.

Yes it happens to me. I think the issue is the screen digitizer that tracks finger pressure.
Make sure you keep the screen spotlessly clean. Helps a little.
