Hello,

I am starting a lawsuit against Macdock.com. If you have ever recieved bad services from them in the past, were frustrated by their lack of communication, rude behavior, or jsut felt like the service jsut wasn't there please email me

ontherhodes@mac.com

These people just do not need to be in business at all. If you are looking for a new host I suggest going with someone else, I have nothing but nightmares with these people, and on top of everything else I paid $500 to them for absolutely nothing. I have saved my Ichat conversation with the admin I spoke with. If you are interested in viewing please email me. Please try and contact them and record the service you get. Maybe I am the only one, but I am betting not.

Cheers,
James Rhodes

Well, I've never had problems with them, you didn't tell us whats wrong with them. Moreover, I think we should support the few Mac hosting sites, and not say negative things without justification, and lawsuits are a waste of your time and money, and depending on what happened odds of winning are small, I'd advise you to take a complaint with the FTC should help get your money back, if not try Attorney general. But because of 'slander suits' i'd be careful what you say on public sites, because that could be bad for you. Just my 2 cents.

real experience with macdock customer service

very few people are willing to give a honest review of macdock of fear of retaliation. So ill speak up for those of us that purely enjoyed the concept of the product, thought then and still think they fill an important niche in the market!. But who have been disspointed with the customer service. Facts there is no phone support even though in 2005 when i joined it was heavily advertised. Tech support was not available over the weekend but they will however get back to you early on monday. The team of CS service people has remianed the same of maybe 2 or 3 including owner for 3yrs. I cant stress how important it is to provide phone and timely accurate email responses to anyone yet alone someone paying for 2 packages at $64.90. max 2 responses to any question a day so send one at 9am and another at 2pm. ichat option never has anyone logged on. try it! Research ... google key words..you will also find that anyone anyone who has voiced an opinion of a truthful incident has been dealt with swiftly and in my case kicked of / suspended from rapidweaver forum not even (which i paid for) but whose understanding ceo in england on a deadly expensive cell phone call understood the unfairness of it all and restored my account, macdock watches carefully on, and eventually refused to renew my domains or service. will freely post the email records -saved ....draw your own conclusions.

Macdock Problems

I was wondering what specific issues you were having with macdock.

I have been dealing with them for 3 months with a Rapid Weaver/i-sell site and their customer service, albeit email only has been excellent. I'm even getting the same tech most times.

The only beef I have with them is that they promote the use of Rapid Weaver and they lead you to believe that they support it. However, sometimes they send me to them (RW) with basic questions and their "Ninja's" aren't very helpful. But I can't really hold them accountable for that, besides I found Realmac Software Forums (RW) to be excellent, so I don't bother contacting the Ninjas much anymore.

So far my experience as a web newbee has been good with them.

Well, I am glad they support Rapid Weaver. You get great support from RealMac and it's good someone developed some website making software for people who can't afford Dreamweaver and other Mac software which seems to cost double that of windows.

I am going to watch them to compare bandwith and the other bells and whistles from other companies. I know godaddy has great tech support. But hosting companies built for macs sounds great.

If you go with a new company, you may have to expect a few bumps along the road.

Screen casters I think it is called sells a 6 month subscription to learn Rapid Weaver and you can also buy the DVD, although they have updated Rapid Weaver.

Isn't the net great, yet head banging at the same time?

Our service with them has been a disaster. There simply is no support. They absolutely refuse to give you a call (or a number so you can call them) and when their online ticketing system stops working (which has happened to me) you are left with zero ways to contact them to let them know about the ticketing system problem or any other issues.
