Finally I have arrived.....
I would like to ask if some has been using Painter with Wacom tablet with MBP (intel Mac). With my PPC Macs (PB and iBook), that combo worked well. I am not sure if Painter and Wacom driver are running well on MBP. I have a C2D 15" MBP. I don't want to go through the installation to find out it does not run good.

On my MacBook 2Ghz 2GB ram Painter IX.5 runs poorly under Rosetta. It's just being emulated. I'm not happy about it either as I do a lot of art. So I installed it on my XP partition (Bootcamp) and it runs as it should. But I still prefer to have a Mac version and hope Corel eventually release a UB version, although I've heard nothing about that to date.

Thanks for posting your comment. I will nix my plan to install Painter on MBP. I can still use my PBs for Painter as it is working very well with PPC Mac. Even though I finally jumped the hoop to get onboard with MBP, I still like my PPC PB and iBook. They keep going and going (still under Apple Care except for Ti PB).

I found both painter IX.5 on my imac 2ghz core duo 2gb and it runs almost aswell as it did on my powermac G5 1.8, and on my Mac Pro it runs better than my previous dual powermac.

Make sure you use 4.96 drivers I think they are at now with the Wacom othewise corel painter will crash everytime you launch it.

That is good news. Then, I will give my Corel Painter IX.5 and Wacom Intuos 3 a chance with my new C2D MBP.
I think Corel updated the Painter to IX.5 to make it run better under Rosetta (I think Painter is not yet UB). As far as Wacom driver 4.96, is it made for Intel Mac? Or, is it rather optiimized for PPC Macs?

MBP and Wacom Intuos 3 are not working well....

With the recent purchase of Intuos3 6X11, I planned to use my current 9X12 with my 15" MBP while keeping 4X6 for my 12" PB.
I am having some weird problem with Intuos3 on my MBP. When I glide the pen over the dock area, Intuos launches the apps as I glide over the dock. It should not do so as you would have to touch the tablet with the pen for clicking on the apps in the dock to launch them.
I re-installed Wacom driver (4.96-3, which is the most recent one by Wacom) to no avail. Has anyone having this type of problem with Wacom on your MBP?
