I've been using an awesome collection of plugins, sound effects, midi instruments called Pluggo with ProTools this past year. I'm happy to that Pluggo's 100+ plugins work flawlessly with Garageband.

It's hard to describe the variety of effects, but you can download a trial at this site to see if you like it.

I second this

I'm not using pluggo at the moment but have used it in the past. As "wild" as some plug-ins try to be they can't hold up to what pluggo can offer, at least not in variety of sound manipulation possibilities.

It's good to know they are compatable with GarageBand. Just another reason to try it out.

pluggo roolz!

just about everything from cycling 74 is great. really inspiring stuff. anyone in the mood for diving deep into a creative programming environment should give MAX/MSP a try too.
