I haven't heard about this till now, but it looks really interesting. I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be secure because it looks like another Chromium browser just like Google Chrome.

Even if you install it, you don't have to use it for everything. I use Firefox for most of my browsing, but Safari for banking and stuff where I feel a little extra security might be helpful.
