So, helping my dad upgrade his dell today, I have to admit I'm guilty of once reaching up and tapping the screen to select a textbox. Seems I'm getting used to this iPad all too quick! Has anyone else accidentally done this?

erm I call BS

Uhhhhh..... Uhhhhhhh..... yes

Had to clean my MBP screen today, I have touched the screen several times.

My girlfriend did it to the MacBook Pro right after she was using the iPad. I predict it won't be long before it happens to me.

Guilty as charged... I did that on my friend's laptop the other day... I had just put my iPad down (I was waiting on a fckn YouTube video to load) and then I was watching other YouTube videos on her laptop...then I touched the screen. FAIL.

My builder was showing me something on his laptop today, and I reached out and poked one of the items on screen. It moved.

Turns out he has a touchscreen laptop. I completely forgot the name, but it's a pretty cheap model laptop, with a screen that you can swivel and lay down to make a tablet of it.

I played with it for a while. Pretty nifty, and no, fingerprints weren't a problem. Like having a giant iPad, but more powerful, with bigger screen, and cheaper. (slightly heavier though). One of these with OSX would be lovely. Being able to move windows and scroll stuff directly with my fingers was nice - made the whole thing more concrete and less remote.

I could see though that holding it up in tablet form with one hand could become a pain if I had to do it for a long time.

I was at the movies on the weekend and wanted some more info on one of the products (new Subaru) from the ads before the feature started so when down and touched the screen - fail.

But seriously, I was reading a magazine (yes, an actual paper one) last week and went to touch an ad for more info.

Nah never did that, but when I put my iPhone in portrait mode I have been expecting the icons to rotate. Did that quite a few times.

I'll touch my MBP screen every now and again hoping that magically it will respond. Touchscreen on MBP is just a firmware update away right? (joke)

I've done the touching the screen thing on my laptop at work several times since I got my iPad, and I've done the attempt at landscape mode for the icons on my iPhone even more times. It drives me crazy when certain iPhone apps on my iPad won't rotate on the iPad because they have not been properly updated by their makers.

Note: This question would make a great poll!

Never done that, but on my Magic Mouse, I sometimes scroll the wrong way thinking I'm scrolling on my iPad, hehe

I've done something similar. Alot of old iMac G4s(they don't get used for real work mind you, they're just appliances) at the journalism department at my school have the old pro mice on them.

Since it doesn't have the ball like the mighty mouse is, I treat them like my magic mouse and always get annoyed that scrolling isn't working.
