I haven't upgraded to Sierra yet because I am not dying to, I like El Capitan a lot and it's working perfectly for me.

I've been using it since April and there hasn't been one issue yet, of any kind. I have experienced exactly zero problems with it and that is something that I am very happy about.

For those who have upgraded, are you happy you did so? Are you experiencing any differences in user experience? And would you recommend other 5K users to upgrade too?

One of the reasons I haven't upgraded is I'm not sure if I'm going to run into some unforeseen glitch or error, my machine is the 3.3 i5 m395 model so I am not concerned that there will be difficulty running it, but who knows if there are issues on the software side of things that still need to be worked out.

I upgraded to OS Sierra day one. I noticed some bugs especially trying to run 3rd party mouse and keyboard. Those things seem worked out since the last update. Since the last update I am happy using it, prior to that I questioned myself changing to soon.

yeah but I downgraded again because when I booted from sleep with my 4k monitor I got black screen of death

I just bought a new iMac (27"5K, 3.3-i5,2TB,8gb).....it came with OS X so I downloaded Sierra before I had too much time and configuration invested in it. It is running fine, I really can't see much difference.....new tabs, Siri, memories in photos.....stuff like that.....but no real layout, look, feel difference or performance difference. Maybe it is just me....I am a Mac OS newbie.....my very first iMac (aaaahhhhh) :)

Oh, and I've been using Affinity Photo on it and it works great.

This is what I want to avoid. I've had to downgrade OSs before after an update and it was a pain. Thought I would wait a little while to ensure that I don't have to do that.

Adobe does not recommend upgrading. Everyone should wait.
I definitely don't have much motivation to upgrade. El Capitan is working perfectly for me and as I understand it, Sierra doesn't offer very much in the way of new features anyway.

Worth testing on an external drive before you commit.

Not fussed about new features, but pleased with bug-fixes!

That is viable, I actually have one lying around.

It doesn't seem like that worthwhile of an upgrade, I mean, I doubt I'll ever use Siri on Mac but maybe I'm wrong.

One of the Great NEW features in Sierra for me is managing your storage on your hard drive.

To be honest with you I haven't looked into it, but I can tell you I've never thought to myself "oh, really wish I had Siri so I can do 'task x' more easily on my Mac!"

That I can definitely tell you.

In case I confused the upgrade. Managing your storage has nothing to do with voice control Siri it is just part of the new OSX

Sorry I was misspoken calling the OSX Siri and not Sierra. LOL I thought your were calling it wrong...But double checking I am wrong. Anyways you would find the Managing my Storage interesting. I just whish it was available on external drives as well.

I corrected my post ☺️
