Having a problem with Vay

I'm at the part where I have to pay some drunk guys bar tab so I can initiate the next boss battle. I've read the guide at gamefaqs and I've done what I'm supposed to do but I can't find the guy I'm looking for. He's supposed to be in the bar in the town that's in the middle of the desert but he's not there. I know my description isn't very good but if someone knows what i need to do I would appreciate some help.

If you've already talked to the boss and he's sent you back to find a singer/bard, then if my memory serves, the character you need will be standing outside the bar. It's been a while, but I though that a scene initiated when you went back into the bar after talking to the boss. I'm pretty certain though that in the end you have to talk to him outside the door of the bar, though. There's also an upstairs to that bar where the casino area is that may be involved... I don't remember exactly since it's been a few months...

Ah. That is probably your problem. On the right side of the desert, almost directly on the same line as the city in the desert (i.e., run to the right of the city to get there) is the castle. If you haven't gone there and talked to the king for him to ask you to get the treasure the boss in the cave is holding, you wouldn't be able to progress. So go there first, talk to the king, and then try going back to the city to the bar. You may have to go back to the cave and talk to the boss again, I don't know how the flags are set up and whether your already having talked to him will count or if you have to do it in the specific order (King, boss, get the guy at the bar) for it all to work.

I'm having trouble locating the king. I talked to the girl right when you entered the castle and she asks me to save my village but after that I can't find the king. Also when I talk to the boss again he asks me what I want and says nothing else. I don't have a save to go back to but I wouldn't think that I wouldn't be able to progress.

You definitely need to find the king in that castle. That's probably one of the more confusing places though, so I'd recommend looking around online and finding the walkthrough for the game that has specific directions in the castles/dungeons. It's the one that I followed when I was playing the game- its a bit confusing in places since it was written for the original release of the game and not the iPhone version and as such a number of the character and item names are different, but the overall navigation and directions are the same. You shouldn't need to worry about not having a save, but it does sound like you need to find and talk to the king (he'll demand the treasure that the boss holds to allow you to progress) before you can move forward.

4. In the third room, take the stairs immediately to the right.
5. In the fourth room, walk straight up and go through the door.

If you find yourself outside (or on top of the castle) at any point after #1, you went the wrong way.

That sounds about right. If I get the chance later I'll try and find and post the link to the walkthrough- I can't get to it during the day due to work filters, and posting it from the iPhone would be difficult too...

Stuck at Danek Castle

Hi,

I am stuck trying to figure out what to do next in this game. I'm currently going around the Ghoulish Danek Castle. Spent about 5 hours trying to see what I might have missed.

I found a control room but can not do anything in there. Also I found a "Red Dragon Airplane" But can not get anyone to pilot the thing.

Please if any one can help and respond as soon as they can that would be great

I found a control room but can not do anything in there. Also I found a "Red Dragon Airplane" But can not get anyone to pilot the thing.

When you go to that control room go to the left then go up. It doesn't look like it but there's a door near the top of the screen that you can go to. After the scene there you will be able to pilot the red dragon airplane.

Yeah I ran in and out of that room 4 or 5 times before I figured it out.

My guess is I have to find the right chamber.

Try this.

6. Draktyr: To the right- Chests: mandacore, fire bomb.
Go up, left, up, up, down, and down- Chests: static sling, fire bomb, mega
spark, jelignite.
Go up, left, up, up, right, right, right, down, down, and up- Chests: mega
spark, static sling.
Go up, left, up, up, right, right, right, down, down, left, up, up, down, and
then up the stairs.
Go to the left or right, then in the door, and then go stand on the platform to
be totally healed. Then head straight down.

I had a problem here as well. Earlier in this thread sdragon posted what you need to do.

Try this.

1. Enter the castle.
