I was talking to a friend yesterday and he told me that having Ethernet is better than Wifi...I then told him that I would be able to use Airplay ...then he told me theres a way to have both Wifi and Ethernet...

So what I did, (since my Airport is right beside my computer) I connected an Ethernet cable to the iMac and I kept the Wifi turned on....

I dont know if that whats im supposed to do????

(from the looks of it, it seems that even with the ethernet cable, its using Wifi)

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I don't really understand your reason for wanting to use both... AirPlay works perfectly fine with an Ethernet connection.

So do you think I should simply Turn Off the wifi on the iMac?

And will be able to continue using Continuaty without Wifi?

Some apps that use location Services need wifi access, so they can access the Skyhook system. This uses the routers MAC address to provide an approximate location, kind of like GPS. If you have wifi turned off, you will be prompted by the OS to turn on wifi to assist with Location Services.
