Having problems in installing iPint in to my iPod touch

I'm having problems on how to install iPint into my ipod touch. i know it sounds stupid, but im kinda new in this.. i have a 1.1.4 iPod touch which is not jailbroken yet, and itune 8. i cant seem to find the app tab under the "devices" in itune. is there something that i need to do to install the app? tnx in advance!

Update it to the latest firmware by clicking "Update" on the main page of the iPod touch iTunes screen (that you get when it's plugged in), you may need to pay a small fee because Steve needs more cash to update his gold car.

you have to have at least firmware 2.0 for official app store apps, it costs about $10 for ipod touch users to upgrade.
