Having to Duplicate Actions in Notes to Make It Update/Save

Since upgrading to High Sierra, whenever I update a note in Notes, it will always delete my entry and revert back to what it was before my update. Only after I enter data a SECOND TIME does it "stick." Anybody else seen this bug?

My notes are not syncing at all on HS. I have a completely different set on my iPad and iPhone than what's on my Mac.

The syncing I'm not having any issues with; it's the inputing of data on the desktop that has the weird behavior. I'm now relegated to typing a bunch of carriage returns, waiting for it to revert, THEN going about my business.
