Is there a toggle I need to check somewhere in order to retain my settings everytime an iOS update is installed? I always have to go back and switch off Game Center, for instance, or turn off Mail and FaceTime in Allowed Apps.

Do you mean settings specifically related to restrictions?

Probably not (or more specific, not that I know of). I've been seeing similar issues of late, particularly Game Center got toggled on for some reason.

Also on WatchOS (or really could be iOS). Latest WatchOS and iOS update, all of a sudden, installed apps I did not want on the Watch.

Not seen any other options being toggled, but then again, I'm pretty basic with my iPhone usage.

Anything that would solve the problem. I always use setting to not allow apps to be installed (or updated), or uninstalled, as well as to not allow account access. Then every so often I'll switch temporarily it to allow me to check for updates. I already use that. But whenever there is an iOS update, I find it annoying that I have to go back in and change all my settings back, game center has always been one of these problems.

I also always turn off autoupdates, but yesterday it got switched back on and an app updated that I didn't want to update yet. Maybe was checking the settings and toggled the autoupdate switch back on without thinking. I'm not sure. Or maybe was set back to default after some iOS security update that I was unaware of automatically loaded, I don't know. But it got me to thinking about these issues. So I finally figured I'd just ask and see if there is a simple solution I just haven't bothered to learn until now.

As it stands, unless someone offers a solution here, everytime the iOS updates you'll have to go through and check to get all your settings back to where you want them.

I often do that with at least some settings. Once in a while I used to find something changed -- sometimes Bluetooth might be enabled or Background App Refresh might be turned on for some reason -- however I haven't ran into that for at least some time now.
