Having trouble deciding what game to buy

I have a £40 voucher. I really want a nice mac game but don't want to buy one and regret it.

I'm really into online games I love playing with real people. So things like counter strike: source

But I'm open to any big name games like Deus Ex but prefer the online community.

Any suggestions which wont leave me disappointed?

It is sort of a FPS-equivalent of Diablo - kill enemies, get better equipment, kill more powerful enemies with this equipment, get even BETTER equipment... rinse & repeat. Personally, I found it to get kind of boring after a while. It is definitely more fun if you have a few friends to play co-op with though.

Well I spent my monies on Bioshock 2/Machinarium and Borderlands: Game of the year edition (includes all four add-ons)
