having trouble finding a macbook air battery in the uk

i have a 2009 model that uses the 40w battery, and finding one seems to be a pain. can i use a 37w one does anyone know?

It does, actually. Apple will replace your battery, so there's no need for you to look for one.

yes i contacted apple, the thing is out of warranty, but i tried to make an appointment at the regent street retail store

they want to keep my machine for 4 days, and were obstructive over the phone, so i am exploring the possibilities of getting hold of a battery and popping it in myself- i'm not afraid of such things
