Hello everyone, I am new here this is my first post but I do plan to stay active as I enjoy apple products. My question is simple. I installed the Mac Lion Developer Preview 4 on my external hard drive on my iMac (16GB Ram, 27" 3.01 GHz if you need to know). I want to have my regular snow leopard back. What do I do. It does not recognize my external hard drive as a hard drive. I can not eject it. Just open it? I like the new OS, yet want to move back to my stabler one. I still should have Snow Leopard installed on my internal HDD right? I only installed it to my external hard drive? If I want my old OS still on my Macintosh HD (hopefully) what do I do?

Restart, press option, select internal hard drive. Or go to System Preferences and click startup disk.

Will I lose all my applications? I do have a time machine back up if needed?

What? Why would you loose your apps? You are just switching to your internal drive. If I'm understanding you correctly, you installed Lion on your External drive while keeping your internal Snow Leopard install intact, and you want to move back to your internal.
