Having troubles accessing AFP/SMB shares on jailbroken apple tv 2 (xbmc)

Hello

When trying to access my files on my macbook air on my apple tv2 in xbmc.

I cant gain access, i have tried both smb and afp, nothing works. i use the ip adress used from filesharing, and then my login id and password.

I have tried mplayer and it works great.

However i cant access the movies i have on my external hdd connected to the macbook air, anyone know why?

Are you using Lion? I've read it's a bit different for it. Head over to the XBMC forums and then let me know how you did it I've been too lazy to research it.

Have you tried entering the info manually? afp://yourusername:yourpassword@yourinternalip/FolderName

The folder names are case sensitive. And don't forget to share the external drive
