HBO shows in iTunes; how long is the wait?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for HBO episodes to appear on iTunes? I was just looking for episodes of The Newsroom, which aired over the summer, but haven't been able to find them. Thanks in advance.

From my experience with AMC titles, like Breaking Bad, the show will air at 10pm EST and then by 0300 am EST I get an email saying it's ready on iTunes to be downloaded. So about 5 hours or so if you have a subscription for the current season.

Otherwise, some shows/seasons won't appear in iTunes or Netflix until after the beginning of the latest season.

I've previously found HBO shows that don't appear on iTunes until they're also on Blu-ray.

For HBO, I think it might take until the show is available on DVD. Season two of Game of Thrones isn't even on the iTunes Store yet, probably because there's no DVD release yet. They want you to subscribe to HBO through a cable provider, so they're not going to let you get the show in advance of the DVD.

Hmm...yes, they all aired last summer so I'm thinking I probably won't see them until the blu ray comes out. Thank you all for your quick response.

Hbo is roughly a year usually. Amc and fx usually has a season pass on iTunes for their shows.
