I currently have an Iphone 3GS and do not wish to upgrade to the new Iphone 4. Instead I have decided to try and duplicate, as much as possible, the features of the new phone, on my current phone. I've got a video editing app, in the form of Reel Director, to duplicate the new IMovie app but now i'm hoping to find an app (or apps) that can provide me with the ability to take and film HD Photo and Video on the 3GS

Does anyone know of any apps that are available that can provide the above things, free or paid?

Thank you for your time.

I don't think its possible to turn a sd camera like the 3gs has into a hd camera with just a software app.

"You can't polish a turd Beavis!" In my best Butthead voice. A camera is what it is and you can't make it something it's not. 3gs does great video and pics so I wouldn't sweat trying to make it like the iPhone 4.

You are aware that the iMovie app will be available for download from the app store and can be installed onto any iPhone just like any normal app right? Cuz its not something that's specific to the iPhone 4 only. And if you think you can duplicate HD video by means of software, you are psycho. You seem to be misinformed and/or misguided.

How do you plan to use the iPhone 3GS to shoot HD video when it's limited by its hardware? An app isn't gonna solve anything.

iMovie is iPhone 4-only.
