I just wanted to make sure I had this right:
1. The Mini (previous versions) can not output true HD audio.
2. You can play passthru DTS on Plex but not on the Apple TV.
3. There is no way to have True HD audio on the previous versions of the
mini.
4. Since the new mini has an HDMI output it does support true HD audio.

Correct?

Thanks Caveman. For all your input in various threads.
I have finally entered the Blu-Ray age and just started ripping my Blu-Rays and wanted to make sure that I had the audio question settled in my head.
I used MakeMKV last night and it worked flawlessly.
I Handbraked two separate versions - one with setting the bitrate at 5000 and one using settings that you had suggested in the 'Native Ripping is finally here' thread. The 5000 bitrate came in at 4.49 gb and your setting came in at 4.19 gb. I can't tell the difference between them.

Cave man, is it possible to disable audio extraction in MAKEMKV so that we can test if the new mini can output true HD audio?
