I have searched around here and all over the net and decided to post here to see what you all are doing about your portable HD options.
I see that there are a couple options on the format type for the HD. NTSF, FAT32, and the apple HFS and HFS+.
I am trying to figure out which the best option to leave the all my options open. I just bought my Macbook Pro and what to be able to share files from my PC to Mac and back again. I have a PC desktop, and laptop and now this Macbook Pro. I'm about 80% sold on keeping this Macbook Pro and maybe converting over totally. But I still will keep my desktop PC for a while.
Most of what I will be doing on this mac will be video editing and some web stuff. I don't plan and sharing a lot of this to the PC's once I start on the Mac.
So anyway that is what I am looking at, and just wondering what you all are doing with your files and HD's.
For those that wonder and ask why I'm not switching to Mac totally at this point. I think that I would but I got a Macbook Pro with a little bit of a screen issue (darker on the right edge then the rest of the screen) and my touch pad mouse seems a little buggy at times (pauses and sticks on screen at times). So over all guilty is my main issue for not making the total switch. I would get ride of my PC's if I didnt have this screen and mouse issue, and when I get the money for a Mac pro tower for at home ease of storage and so on.
Thanks!
