HD replacement

Hi, I was curious on how to replace the HD on my intel based iMac. I think it's the mid 2007 version and I was wondering if there was a special type of HD I needed and how to do this. If someone could tell me or give me a website that can help that would be great, thanks

HDD: Any 3.5" S-ATA HDD, available in almost any local or online computer parts reseller.

MRoogle is a good tool to search these fora for already existing threads about questions you have. It might be able to answer you quicker than creating a thread.

Is there any recommend retailer I should use?

Depends on your place of residence, as different countries have different recommended retailers.

NewEgg and MacSales are very well respected in the northern part of the American continent, I believe the countries are called New France and New England, but I might be wrong, my head is receiving different radio signals all the time while dancing in the dark post human alarm call era.

Yes, it will work. However, I would get Caviar Blue instead because Black Caviar can be pretty noisy.

You know.... They warned me that I'd be encountering very odd folks of a very unique variety when I switched to the Mac Side.
