Maybe it is because I have a 30" ACD but the free episodes of Heroes, Monk & pysch don't look very good. Plus it stutters every 15 seconds or so. You'd think with a MacPro w/ 8800GT it wouldn't stutter.

It shouldn't stutter so I think that part is just you buddy. As far as the looks of it, I definitely agree about Monk and Psych looking pretty crappy. The picture has a lot of noise for sure. The Office on the other hand looks fantastic on HD. Upon some online research, I was told that Monk and Psych were not originally filmed with HD cameras, and The Office was. So that would make sense...
