Ok Ive just downloaded a HD TV show, Heroes "4 months later" for free, one of the offers on iTunes. Is it just me or is there not much difference between the HD or SD TV shows.

I was watching it on my 20" iMac and I was switching between the SD version and the HD one to see if I could tell a difference but I cant. I thought it might be because I wasn't using a HD TV, but surely there would be some difference in quality between the two, even on my iMac.

I think the 20" iMac's highest res is not the full 1080 HD, (Resolution 20-inch models: 1680 by 1050 pixels). granted that the iTunes HD television shows run at 720- Overall I don't think you'd be able to see much of a difference on your iMac, had you been watching it on a 23", 30" or HDTV I think you'd see a comparable difference from the SD and HD, I know via my AppleTV there is a fair quality upgrade with the HD.
