HD TV Tuner Card for OTA HD TV Shows to ATV

Any thoughts welcome.
I am thinking of picking up a PCI HDTV tuner card card for my PC Server which serves up all the media to my TV. Recording TV Shows on the server with the tuner card to then sync/stream to the TV. Has anyone tried this here and have any insight/thoughts gotcha's etc. Would be great for the fall season since a lot of shows are starting new seasons broadcast in HD.

I have an Eye TV Hybrid and it integrates extremely well with iTunes, and thus Apple TV. Pretty much hands-off, other than scheduling.

What formats does it support for recording the HD?

It simply saves the HD stream, which is MPEG-2 here in the US. For iTunes export, it sends it out as an MPEG-4 H.264. There are a variety of options (QT, ATV, iPod, iPhone, etc) that you can select for export.
