I have an iMac 21.5 with the I3 chip, and iMovie 11, just bought it primarily for HD video editing. It makes a fast "clicking" noise when I play the HD video, both in edit and in movie. It's not very loud, the soundtrack can mask it.
I contacted Apple support, and did a sort of boot reset with them, but the noise is still there. It fades in some clips, then comes back, even within the clip. The AVCHD video was shot on a Canon Legria R18, on in built memory. I used to use Pinnacle Studio on a PC, and this noise did not happen. Everything else in iMovie seems fine, and the rest of the Mac works well.
Any ideas how to stop this, anyone.

Steve
