I haven't rented a movie since doing the software update and tried last night to watch something rented and got the dreaded HDCP error.

Last time I got this error, I just unplugged the :apple:TV and reset it and it worked. But last night, I reset :apple:TV twice and no luck. Then I tried unplugging the HDMI, nothing. I thought it might be my HDMI switcher, so I unplugged it and reset that, no luck again.

I would really like to watch the movies I paid $ for.......:(

Any suggestions? TIA!

Try to connect the Apple TV directly to your TV Set (without the HDMI switch). Maybe this helps.

Well, the problem corrected itself last night. I was able to watch something rented. Don't know what changed, but I guess I'll have to keep rebooting things (randomly) until Apple comes out with a fix for it. :(
