I've currently got an SSD as my main disk in my 2010 Imac, but want to add another 4TB 3.5" as well but am unsure of something so want to find out first before pulling out the entire board etc
Is it possible to install the SSD still as my main disk and use the other 4tb as the secondary drive? Does it matter which connectors are used on the logic board for this? I have a power splitter and extra sata cable so i'm good to go otherwise

You'd probably do just as well to put the new drive into an external USB3 enclosure and connect it that way.
True, the 2010 iMac only has USB2, but the drive will connect just the same.
