Hi All,
I just bought a Mac Pro 2013. I am using a Vizio 50" 4k TV for a display. There is one port on the TV that is labeled HDMI 60HZ. So I'm assuming the TV will take 60HZ.

I have bought different HDMI cables and I did purchase an ACTIVE mini display port to HDMI adaptor from monoprice.
I thought the key to getting 60hz over HDMI was making sure the adaptor was ACTIVE.

Well...with the adaptor and a "high speed" HDMI cable, I still do not get the 60HZ as an option in the Display drop down box.

Can anyone suggest a way to get 60hz on a 4k TV?
Thanks
Rod

The adapter needs to be active, but not every active adapter is able to output HDMI 2.0.

You'll need an adapter that specifically states DP1.2 & HDMI2.0 support, such as the Club3D adapter often recommended here.
