HDMI ATV2 audio question

I am contemplating getting an ATV2...First, I think the current capabilities of watching content from iTunes (especially using handbrake for personal DVDs) and Netflix is a great sale for me, and second I truly hope that an APP store will become available which would make it a no brainer at $99.

I only really have two questions about the process:

1) I have a 42" Samsung Plasma HDTV. There are three HDMI hookups, will the Audio work through that one connection? (Is the audio not working through hooking up a macbook or iMac via the minidisplay port to HDMI any indication of the ATV2 audio working?)

2) What if we have two iTunes accounts, mine and my wife's account. Will that be a problem with ATV?

yes, the audio will work via the hdmi cable to the samsung. i have expereinced the same issue you describe with my MBP dvi to hdmi adapter to my tv.

and 2 itunes accounts shouldnt be an issue, do you have 2 seperate libraries as well?

Yep, HDMI would be no problem for audio.

We have 2 accounts and two libraries. As long as shraring is enabled on both accounts there will be no problem. Both will appear under the computers section in ATV2 menu.

yes, we have two separate libraries...I am wondering if I could hook up an external harddrive to our AEBS and have one consolidated library with music, movies, and TV shows.

Also, how easy is it to stream pictures?
