Just bought the Mac Mini server and at the moment quite impressed.
One issue I have is that I have it hooked up via HDMI to my Denon AV Amplifier, no problem getting the 1080p display, but for some reason I cant get sound.
I've been into system prefs and changed the outputs to the Denon-AVAmp that's listed, but for some reason my amp wont get a lock on the audio and play it. I've tried everything like using plex etc to no avail.

Anyone had the same issue?

if your amp appears in the sound output preferences, then mac os x has identified it and is outputting to it. start with 2-ch stereo audio, such as music in itunes. open the audio midi setup app and see if everything looks ok there. your amp may be picky about the 16/20/24-bit. and obviously be sure the amp is set to the proper source and sound settings.

Made a bit of progress, I moved ports over to one that had my 360 in and it work(ed). Until I did the software updates, now I'm back to the same point.
Most frustrating
