I'd like to find an HDMI cable like they have shown there in the images i've seen. Nice thin gauge wire. All the ones i find online are freakin huge barrels.

Anyone know a good place to get?

I have a couple of flat HDMI cables around, but they are a pain in the ass to cable manage.

I've seen some on monoprice that don't look too thick. It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures they have (they're wrapped up rather than pulled straight like the one on apple.com).

That looks thinner than any cable I have ever gotten from Monoprice...also the head/end of the cable looks small compared to most, almost like an apple USB cable end.

Picture is from 9to5 Mac

That HDMI cable is most likely proprietary to Apple, meaning they probably had it specially manufactured. Your post does bring up a good point though. If the new Apple TV is as small and light as advertised, it won't play nicely with a heavy HDMI cable, especially if you intend on putting the ATV near the edge of a surface. I could easily see the front of the ATV "popping a wheelie" when hooked up to a bulky HDMI cable. For this reason, my guess is that Apple will be releasing their own lightweight HDMI cables for the ATV.

in the picture it kinda looks like a black version of the old mag safe connect for the macbooks.. that is really small for an HDMI cable.

I'd agree that the "demo" cables look fantastic, but I don't see why Apple doesn't include one in the box...I mean, I do - cost-cutting and giving people options, but still - that's a separate purchase just to get the thing working.

The amazon ones don't look bad as far as the connector heads go so that's kinda neat. But i'd really like to have one like they have on the demo unit

grabbed it off of engadget but a much better look. this thing is sexy. it almost looks thinner than the generic ethernet cable next to it.

apple definitely needs to start selling these. they'd make a ton.
