Hi, I'm thinking of getting ATV 4K And have noticed I need to buy a HDMI cable, there's a Belkin one on the apple store for £35, 4K/8K high speed, is this the one I'll need ? or will a cheaper/ lesser spec one do, think I'm gonna answer my own question by thinking it's the Belkin one I need 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks in advance for advice.

I suggest technical overkill with 8K HDMI 2.3 48Gbps cables which are readily available on Amazon for under $20, at least one under $10. Having more bandwidth/capacity than what you need today should deliver what you need today to its fullest. Later, when a next AppleTV or the one after that finally goes 8K, you can just swap the box and keep using the same cable.

I've attached many recent 4K AppleTVs with such cables and never had an issue. You can also go into the menus and choose "max" options with them.

If you'll be using the AppleTV at 4k/60 like me, I recommend the Amazon Basics HDMI cables. I have been using them for a few years with the 1st to 3rd Gen 4k boxes and never had issues.
