My Samsung 40" LCD HDTV-LN-S4095D has only two HDMI ports. Those two are currently used by my DirecTV HR 20-700 and a Samsung Blue Ray BD-C6500. I'm looking to add Apple TV but need one more HDMI port.

What are my options? Would a HDMI hub or switch work to give me more HDMI ports? If I'm sharing say the Blue Ray player and Apple TV via the same HDMI port on the TV, will I encounter any issues?

Thanks in advance!

A Switch is your only option. And as far as having problems, you shouldn't but then again that has more to do with the quality of the HDMI switch then the devices.

Get a good AV receiver with multiple HDMI inputs and route all your peripherals through it and from there with one HDMI to TV. Get a set of surround sound speakers and really enjoy your viewing experience.

Or get an HDMI switcher.

Why not just use component connection to your tv frm the apple tv? Hdmi switchers can be expensive

Agreed. Use the component connection from one of your other devices.

Should work fine from his sat box though.

My DirecTV HR20 only has one HDMI port on the back. All component connects to back on my TV are used by Xbox 360.
