2018 iPad Pro, latest iOS version, using HDMI cable via connected HyperDrive to older Panasonic (dumb) TV.

Without changing the connections or settings, is it typical for Amazon Prime Video to not show full screen while Netflix does automatically? Am I missing a settings change while using Amazon to get it to show full screen on my TV?

Amazon Prime shows full screen for me on both (newer) Samsung widescreen monitor and (brand new) Samsung TV - 2018 12.9 Pro, 13.2.3, HDMI cable from HooToo USB-C hub. No settings adjustments.

Thanks.

Weird that it doesn’t for me.

FIXED: Use the app.

I downloaded Amazon‘s Prime Video app onto my iPad. Just like when using the Netflix app, Amazon movies via the Prime Video app automatically play in full screen. If I go back to Amazon Prime Video on they’re website the same movie will not show in full screen.
